Gay Friendly: Gay Wedding Officiants in Chicago, IL, USA
In 1974, fresh out of theological school, I received a call from two men who wanted to have a commitment ceremony. I realized then, as I do now, that I support love between two people, no matter what their gender.
Over the years I have officiated Holy Union Ceremonies, Commitment Ceremonies and now finally in the State of Illinois, (Hurrah!!!) legal weddings for lesbian and gay couples.
I have advocated and agitated for this significant change. I feel proud to be part of this important path to marriage equality!
Beyond this, I support couples who believe in God and those who do not. I affirm those who have different faiths and those who have no religious affiliation. I adapt language, customs and elements of ceremonies accordingly and create weddings for couples who have different backgrounds and/or beliefs systems.
Together, we will create a wedding ceremony based on your hopes and dreams. It is my goal to make your special day perfect.
We can work over the phone, the internet or in person. I work with you to support your dreams and goals. It is my greatest pleasure to provide the best memories of your Chicago wedding day, so you can look back and remember with pride, tenderness and joy.
